G-Land Surf was a bit overhead on the sets today. Had some longish lulls here and there, but by mid morning the offshore was up already, and there were many nice waves peeling down the reef. The waves were 3-4ft and really nice shape.
G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp guest Tim Evans from Kauai paddled out and got a sick as wave with 3 good barrels on it. Likewise another guest Daniel from Australia got an insanely long deep barrel that our resident photographer John Hepler caught on camera from his boat.
Today young grommet Kyle celebrated his 12th birthday in G-Land style. A big delicious cake was brought out, all the staff acommanied it, singing happy birthday through the restaurant with the lights out and drums and food trays being banged into a jungle rythym, with a cup of orange juice (we didn't put any alcohol in his drink of course!) for him to skull back. Young Kyle was one happy camper as we all wished him a happy birthday on his last night in G-Land.
