G-Land Surf is going off right now. Its sunset time (happy hour), I'm at the beach on the wireless network making this report, and theres real solid sets coming through. Bombie sets even. Solid 6-8ft this last half an hour before dark on the Ledge. So gutted I didn't go out there after my mission today.
My mission involved going with a group of kitesurfers on our fastboat to the south eastern tip of the Plengkung peninsula, to the area of Reverse G-Land Righthander. Unfortuneately the wind was a couple of knots too light, and the kite surfers couldn't get going. The place was great otherwise for them. A big flat lagoon to warm up in, then waves breaking on the reef outside, and a couple of big channels through the reef.
So I got back at 3:50pm to my room, and had a small window to surf, but I ate my lunch then drank beer instead. Then half horrifyingly seen some 6ft sets roll through Fan Palms and then double up through the Ledge throwing big pits 🙁 🙁 And nobody on them! Well hey it'll just add to my amp for tomorrow...
