G-LAND ... When it's been so long since a small day arrives, it's almost always 100% welcome. Probably different for me compared to someone out here for 3 days and arriving on a small day like today...BUT sometimes you gotta push to focus on other things than the surf when it's happening G-Land almost everyday straight. But these small days where it only breaks way upreef into Kongs, it's easy to notice everything else about this beautiful place. The trees are always an easy attraction to get lost within. And then here comes some critter walking, slithering, flying, or jumping through the trees and the show continues in full color. I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary except for a medium-sized bird, maybe being a rufous-backed fantail that's allegedly found only in Papua New Guinea. But even the ordinary here is still extraordinary!!!
