G-LAND ... We actually saw a rise in the surf by the middle of the 14th. The rest of the time before the increase in surf was pretty much just like the days before...about head high and really only happening upreef at Kongs. The winds have been good, blowing onshore in the morning and finally going offshore by about 10:30 or 11 o'clock. It's been back to normal looking G-Land in the morning, but it seems like the surfer's out here are addicted to those early morning sessions and rightfully so. It's not easy to break that habit once you're used to dawn offshores!!!
So this pulse of new swell we got actually started running through Moneytrees and doing it consistently for about an hour. Looked really nice from my vantage on the beach and even saw a couple really solid looking drops for the size. About 8-10 foot faces and lining up nicely. Maybe it's gonna be the start of the pendulum swinging back to where is just came from only a handful of days ago. And the forecast actually looks like that's gonna be the scenario. Something sizable may be on the way, i'm just hoping for good winds!!!
