G-LAND ... Tough to really say that today was THE DAY comparing it to yesterday. Both days gotta be put together as THE DAYS...since i came in. Some quality waves...yesterday was bigger...today was cleaner with better winds but didn't last as long. But both days were setting up some really makeable waves through Speedies.
Those big sets that focus right in on Launching Pad are tough to call the size. Maybe 4 times overhead, could be that some were bigger too. It's always amazing to me that a 25 foot face turns into a 10-12 foot face at Speedies. All that water just getting compressed and loading up into a thick, heaving barrel. Some of them were seamlessly setting up through Speedies and those were the gems. But plenty of wide swingers coming straight into Speedies 1st section lining up some long pipeliners.
By the end of the Speedies session, everyone had to be satisfied once again cause Money Trees really didn't have any takers. Probably because this swell wasn't really coming into there, but for sure some waves to be had. Pretty interesting view to look out at the line-up from the beach and not see 1 person in the water. That really only happens at dawn and the wet season!!!
