G-LAND ... Everything looked real normal, real typical for G-Land in the early morning.  With the end of yesterday showing a lot of promise that today may be the end of the onshore, the view we were getting at 7 AM was pumping up the promising feeling.  It was offshore by 9:30 and there was no sign that the swell was fading away.  Double overhead sets were consistently coming in and running the reef for a long long time.  Even yesterday, with the winds being a little destructive for classic G-Land conditions during the first 1/2 of the day, it was obvious that this swell was a GOOD swell.  It was lumpy and bumpy, but waves were still peeling down the reef  sectionless.

It was the first real day of waves out here in a long time supposedly.  It's my 5th day so far and for sure the best day i've seen yet.  But always hopeful for tomorrow outdoing today, eventhough the forecast don't support that!!!  Everything minus proper low-tide Ledge was breaking.  Down the reef at Launching Pad/Speedies was an inconsistent place to sit, but there were some exciting tubes unraveling and the takers fit on 1 hand.  Money Trees was where the keg was at, everyone packed pretty tight around the peak and into the party.  But more consistent than everywhere else so it could handle the crew.  Fan Palms and Kongs were naturally part of it too and i think about 0.05% of all the waves that broke up there today had someone riding them.  I could see some beautiful looking waves peeling off smoothly.

I hoped in with Norris and Alan on their way out to take photos and while we were untying the boat, i kinda went jawdropped at this set cooking down Chickens.  Maybe head high max, but really nice form and really smooth looking too.  A few crew went down to Tigertracks early in the day and again around sunset and they seemed pretty stoked from their sessions down there.  I've written this many times before, but i feel they're always appropriately placed...it was a day that everyone seems real thankful for!!!
