G-LAND ... It was an oven today. Hottest i've felt since i can remember. Even a little 3 mintue shower came down outta the clouds. Seen a few mozzy's the past few days as well. But thankfully the winds have still been good. Just curious about the signs of a shifting season. So i stayed out of the sun for most of the day. Sunburned eyes and just feeling like i should regain some core energy that has been slowly and steadily used up.
Transport day so there was no attempt on the South Coast, but it could have been real nice over there. The fog really didn't form up, giving us the visibility we didn't have the last time. Maybe tomorrow we'll have a go. So the surf was about head high max up at Kongs. Smooth, clean and rippable, but that was from 2 quick looks at it today. Everyone seemed happy enough, especially knowing that the forecast doesn't show anything really happening. Can't...or shouldn't really complain about head high waves on NO SWELL.
If you're coming out here soon and like getting into battling it out in chess, then you'll be playing plenty of it. There's been a lot of serious bouts going on. The staff have been playing games everyday during the slow times...and it's pretty slow most of the day for them now. I've been getting into it also, figuring i need to excercise my mind since surfing all the time really numbs up certain parts of the head. So if there's not much surf happening, then it's easy to burn up a few hours on the plastic battlefield.
