G-LAND ... The day started out with a positive look, some swell coming in through Money Trees getting up to about 8 foot faces max. And as the tide was filling in through the early morning, a few sets started to stand up at Inside Pad. A little morning lump going on but not too bad and an almost empty in the lineup. Went on a third attempt at the stand up paddle board and gave it a solid effort. Still can't make the connection why it's full-on as far as surfing goes, but it's definitely a nice vantage standing up. Solid workout too. But the surfing doesn't feel that right.
So by the time the offshore came up sometime around 10, the swell backed off and basically only broke up at Kongs. Maybe about head high and that's still fun enough. But i hung on land and waited to get the report from the few that made it into the water. Everyone still seemed good enough that got into it.
Bobby came into camp, bringing Sloth in with him on Buzy's boat. Straight onto the dingy and trolled for a couple hours and then back onto Buzy's boat to troll a few more. They hooked up 3 trevally's, 1 blue fin that got cut up for sashimi and 2 silver trevally's cooked up on the grilled. Those blue fins are one of the better fish to eat raw. He's out tomorrow morning, but gonna have another early morning go with Laplander Tom.
