G-LAND ...
September 22.
More of what we needed came to us. And more doesn't mean "more swell." We actually needed a little reduction in swell since the tides aren't in our favor. This was one of those swells that made it tough NOT to think about how it COULD HAVE BEEN. We just needed a little more water on the high tide since we were maxing at 1.4 meters. A little better wind direction and Launching Pad into Speedies would have been happening.
The swell was still getting down there, it just wasn't what it could have been... :))
10-12 foot faces and the winds were variable most of the day. It went light offshore for about 2 hours and then slowly glassed off. The sunset session was lit up well by the colors bouncing down off the clouds and painting the water up beautifully. It's been a while...can't really even remember exactly how long...since i've been in the water when it looks like you're sitting in colors like molten lava.

The day became a jam session...so much fun. Onshore most of the day and not just a light onshore. So by 10:30 we collected all the drums, guitar, and a few crates of Star beer and took refuge from the cooking sun on the roots of the Holy Tree. Actually, the onshore was feeling super soothing, bring the cool air from the chilly water onto shore.
MEANING...the water is still cold enough to spend the extra money on some rubber!!!
