G-LAND ... The winds have been real nice now for the past week or so. Strong and coming from somewhere with EAST in it. Today was ESE...yesterday ENE...don't remember the days before exactly, but strong winds.
I left Plengkung at around 11:00 and didn't come back until about 4:30, so all I saw of the surf was the short drive-by in the cukung going up reef and around Tanjung Blambangan. Fabio, his friend Riccardo, two local fisherman from the boat channel and myself went on an explore of the south coast. It was real beautiful looking. Yeah...both the south coast exposure and that 1 set coming through at mini Speedies. Clean...smooth...hollow!!! Like you would hope it to be at any size.
