G-LAND ... My memory isn't strong enough to remember what went on yesterday (the 21st-internet was down again), but today I remember 100% what went on. New swell came in real early in the morning and built through the day. Swell filling in and running down the reef was a beautiful site.
We had a transport day and were sitting a total of 43 guests now. Pretty packed considering the other camps are totaling a single digit number that's synonymous with "STOKED."
Launching Pad into Speedies and some of them were full on speed. As the day went by, the sets seemed to get into a better position to break in a more relaxed unraveling down the reef. BUT...early on some of them would just lock its rider in and never let them out. But with a 2.6 meter high, the water level was fine. Only one person got pulled across the reef on his back, but the rubber helped out and the gouges weren't too bad in the end.
OFFSHORE today most of the day too. A little period of N wind, but it didn't blow for too long and the rest of the day was real nice. We were even blessed with a nice cloud cover from midday on, always helpful if you got the feeling to do a super long session on a day like today.
