G-Land Surf was less than average today. I'm sorry, but there is not much positive stuff to write about 2-3ft onshore slop. Apart from maybe the water temp is nice? Actually, sitting on the beach was really pleasant today, as the westerly breeze coming in (around 10 knots most of the day!) was nice and refreshing and gave a nice cooling effect. It was also blue sky and sunny all day, so no rain for quite a few days at least. Perhaps this October will be quite dry, just like March was?
Not many people surfed today and the ones that did, had not much good things to say about their experience.
Tonight I ran a pool tournament, and even though we only have 20 something guests in the camp, almost 20 guests joined in and paid up the Rp10,000 entry fee, along with a handful of staff. And we had 23 entrants, making 1st prize Rp160,000 and 2nd place Rp70,000. After many heated battles in the entertainment room, with beers flowing and sounds pumping, it was Blacky who emerged victorious, taking the lead over guest Dean. I was happy with the turn out of guests keen to play, and it made it a fun night.
PS Trade winds look set to come back into swing in the next few days... WOOHOOO
