G-LAND ... 6-10 foot faces and real fun. I mean REAL FUN! Early morning was actually a little bigger, getting up to double-overhead (12 foot face) on the proper sets, but the swell came down a bit by 10 and remained consistent at that size until the day's end! Lower Kongs down through Inside Launching Pad was breaking today. Inside Pad was real inconsistent but a few stand-out sets came through and piped like they do. Money Trees was the opposite, being real consistent and real fun. A few quality barrels coming through but mostly just carvable faces or speedtracks. And once again on the right tide, The Ledge came alive. Not full-on proper Ledge to keep it honest, but exciting take-offs like they should be followed by a nice high-line barrel. When the wave squares-up and you only ride the bottom portion of the wave is when it's real commanding of your focus. I haven't seen it like that for a long time.
Winds were almost all good today. Early morning was clean (like it has been), then a 1-hour period of N and W blew, went S to SE and stayed like that until sunset.
Feeling good...but also feeling wiped clean of energy. I'm going to sleep beautifully tonight and I'm sure every one of you reading this that's been here has experienced the same feeling.
Got to drink a lot of water and load up on the food. It's buffet tonight and hopefully I'm not last in line like usual. I see plenty of guys coming over here with weight gainers and supplements. After a couple of weeks here, especially if the swell's consistent, you'll for sure know whether they are doing something positive or not. Haven't committed to such a thing yet...maybe one day though.
