G-Land could have been pretty high quality today if the wind was blowing offshore. The swell direction was able to line up Money Trees and the size picked up just a bit from yesterday. Sets were 6-8 foot faces and fairly consistent. But large, crumbly sections easily downsize a potential 300 yard ride to 25.
I tried to play out the day by waiting patiently for a late afternoon glass-off. Lounging on the new bale bengong in front of the camp, I took a great nap in the cooling onshore breeze. When I woke up, the wind had dropped right off. So waiting for the latent surface bump to smooth out, I started getting excited. BANG.... the onshore came back with full force. Nothing left to do in my mind but stretch, hoping that tomorrow would be a nice day to go surfing at G-Land.
