The fun, 3-day run came to an end....although....guys were still going surfing. G-Land almost always has something to ride, especially considering where most of us come from. Maybe if you were from another equatorial country would you not surf on these days. But, for Indonesia's standards, it was small...and when it's small here, there's only one place to go. Guys were saying that Kongs was fun, still with some head-high waves but a little weak. I would easily take the bet that surfing alone up there compensated for the lack of power and/or size.
I'm going to have to think of another way to express the same thing everyday, but it is what it is. "Another blessed day of offshores." THANKS to the 'one' in control. I just respectfully request that they're still blowing when I can surf again!
We had one of those beautiful two-sided, double-planed, mirrored, refractive (however it can be described) sunsets. Just the right amount of low-lying clouds to reflect rays from the already set sun down onto the ocean's surface. It's like the water morphs into molten lava. Everyone was already hanging in front of the camp, but if there were waves, you could surf another 20...maybe 30 minutes past the normal 5:40 time of dusk. BEAUTIFUL!!!
