I have to give credit to the organization... pretty sure it's NOAA/NCEP's OMB and affiliates... that exists by collecting data and processing that information into a usable model. Anything up to 2 days out seems to be fairly accurate, beyond that and too many events can happen to change the course of a surfer's hope.
By noon, sets started to break at Kongs and any stresses from not surfing the past couple of days faded away. G-Land was awake once again. And one more fortunate day of offshores. If we get a nice sizable swell, especially because of our position in the seasons cycle, that would be amazing. But that's not on the forecasting models prediction...haha!
What we did have was 6 to 8 foot faces focusing on lower Kongs and Fan Palms. A few high-line barrels, but mostly long, lined-up, carvable faces. No surfing for me since I'm re-battling an old invader, but I had enough energy to watch the guests enjoying themselves.
Looking at the forecast, I'll hopefully be able to experiencially write about the days surfing conditions. Until then, I'll be landlocked at Bobby's G-Land Surf Camp...which normally isn't the way one would want it be. BUT... a beautiful place to be!!!
