It really amazes me how different the G-Land Surf conditions are from one day to the next. The early morning's situation was not even close enough to wipe the sleep out of my eyes or head. However, by 11:00, sets were showing up as the tide came through its bottom.....but it was innnn_connnn_sissss_tent!
I ended up timing my surf opposite from everyone else and got a few fun waves at Money Trees. I'd love to SEE exactly what happens from the storm's center up until the swell reaches the coastline. Exactly (not theoretically) how did G-Land receive 20-minute pulses of 6 foot-faced, 3-waves sets every 60 minutes today. I'm sure if I could have been a part of the swell through it's entire life span, it would make perfect sense to me why. Nature seems to be like that in the end....right?
John Hepler...resident memory-maker...dry-storaged his boat today. I wonder if this is another indicator like October 26's. And Kiki decided to end his season on the 27th. Either way, I'm not leaving Bobby's G-Land Surf Camp until the wind repeatedly goes bad. Especially since it's getting lighter and lighter on the crowds. After today's change-over, we're hosting 17 guests.
