G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp is the quietest its been for a long time, with less than 30 people in camp after more people left today than came in. Everybody who came was first time here so they all got a good download of information on the waves and camp from my orientation tour. My friend Ryan Watts left this morning to go let loose in Kuta, and Gerard & his daughter Hoppy left too. Hoppy was stoked with her new surfing improvements from the past few days coaching, as was her Dad!
G-Land Surf was a fairly good size today, plenty of 4-5ft sets coming through, but unfortunately the tradewind never showed up, and it was a light sideshore all day. Good rippable walls to be had regardless.. thankfully the trades are forecast to rip back in the next couple of days and hang around for a good week or so, coupled with a long last swell... should be a good farewell present for me 🙂
A very longtime G-Land surfer, Fabio, turned up today after a 6 week absence. Was good too see him back in camp and he was stoked to be back in the jungle after the chaos of Bali.
