G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp just had 45 guests arrive this morning bringing the total too 70 people in camp! Wow, the August recession has just finished and now we're back to normal numbers. Although the other camps have low numbers so the crowds are not too bad.
G-Land Surf was 3-5ft all day long, with an offshore breeze mostly blowing. I tell new guests in Orientation Tour that they shouldn't surf Speedies below a 1.8m tide. Well one guest decided he would, and he ended up landing arm first on the dry reef and dislocating his shoulder. Insurance complications mean the chopper will be here tomorrow at the earliest. Lucky its not a really bad job, and he is not in excruciating pain.
We had a Gandrung Full Moon dance party tonight in G-Land, this is a feature of coming to G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp, many guests enjoyed dancing with the female traditional dancers and listening to the traditional music. This went on till easily Midnight, although after a few drinks I was shattered and crashed out before 10pm!
