G-Land was on the rise all day. It wasn't a huge rise, but enough to keep everyone happy. About 10am I had another check of the surf and seen kegging 3-4fters coming through lower Money Trees, and I slowly got ready to paddle out, thinking it would pump all day, especially with the high tide at 1pm.
G-Land Surf kinda tricked me though. I paddled out just before 12, and the wind decided to go a bit more Southerly, making it more wally than barreling. But there were some nice 4-5ft sets coming through, and the odd barrel to be had, and the crowd was mellow as. While the crowds have eased this week, so has the water temperature unfortunately. I was in a springsuit and was almost getting cold, I believe it will get even colder through August, if so then I will be busting out a light steamer.. look out!
G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp served up a delicious meal tonight, a Calliloni dish with vegetables, salad, and pancake for dessert. Very tasty 🙂
