As predicted, we all woke up too an active ocean. G-Land Surf was solid, the Bombie had some big sets on the low tide (infact all day long it had some big sets), and the offshore soon followed about 9am, helping clean up the 6-8ft swell. There was even the odd rogue 10ft set that came through... one wave rolled through continuous from the Bombie into the Ledge without reforming! Must have been an exciting fast boat ride home for departing G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp guests!
Another 'West' swell, the majority of the waves were up on the Ledge and through Money Trees. 2 hours either side of the high tide the notorious G-Land current was fairly hard work, and then any other time of the day it was simply a gushing river running down the point.
I rode my 7'8 to help position myself better with so much water moving. It helped me catch a couple of big set waves, although there wasn't many barrels today. I only got 2 barrels, one which I didn't make. Although I did see the odd mutant slab on the Ledge even with the high tide.
