Plengkung is known as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. The word "G" in "G-Land" comes from Grajagan, the name of the bay where the big waves were found south of Banyuwangi. Surrounded by a virgin tropical forest forest. G land offers the world's most demanding surfing sport, and is recommended for professional surfers only. Most surfers start from Bali, go ashore to Banyuwangi and go directly to Alas Purwo National Park, G-Land or cross Grajagan Bay to Plengkung beach where the wave challenge invites surfers.
