Plengkung Beach has a wave that is always there constantly throughout the year. In April - August, the waves reach the highest peak. Not surprisingly, Plengkung Beach has been made five times as a place of international surfing activities.
There are four types of waves in Plengkung Beach. Surfers call the smallest waves with the term "chickens", then "speedies", and "monkey trees". The biggest waves are named "kongs".
The biggest waves usually appear in June, July, and November. In the span of time, the wave height can reach a height of up to 6 meters and of course the beach is crowded visited by surfers. The beginner surfers can also play with the waves around Plengkung Beach. There is another spot with relatively big waves, called Batu Lawang Beach. Spot is suitable as a place to learn surfing before trying out the waves in the real G-Land.
In Indonesia, there are a number of surfing spots with challenging waves, such as Nias in North Sumatra, Cimaja Beach in Sukabumi, to Bangko-Bangko in Lombok.
