G-Land was rather small today and I had no inspiration at all to hit the water. Movies, photos, and relaxing in the hammock with a surf magazine were my highlights for the day. Ketut gave me a haircut (I have an interview next week)
Others decided to go standup paddleboarding on the new boards we have here at Bobby’s camp and others decied to go fishing. Those that went for a grovel still had alot of fun. G-Land is such a relaxing spot and it’s great to be in the jungle enjoying the beauty Indonesia has to offer.

G-land was quite relaxing today. A few people went surfing but I decided to just take it easy. It was 2ft max and very inconsistent, nobody came out looking like they had fun. I started the day off with yoga and then read until lunch. Had a nap after lunch and then read a little more.
We have a big changeover tomorrow so I had a few drinks with the guys that are leaving G-Land and we feasted on some great food from the buffet.
Swell was supposed to hit G-Land today so hopefully it’s just late and hits us tomorrow.

G-Land was very relaxing today. A few people took their boards for a paddle to beat the bordem and a few were giving money to the local ladies and getting massages relaxing down the beach.
I did a yoga session this morning at Joyo’s camp to stretch my sore muscles out. There is alot of paddling in G-Land and it is nice to have a stretch now and again.
After lunch I went fishing up to the key hole way up past Kongs. It took us about an hour to get there and none of us got any fish. The fishing in G-Land has been a little average this season, the spear fishermen have been doing the best. I will have to walk up there again and take some photos. The coal barge has split in two and the coal is all over the beach. It’s such a big barge and it’s just sitting high and dry on the reef at low tide.

G-Land rained all night and there was a storm at Bobby’s.. The lightning was striking right in the camp… Thought it would be unsafe to go outside this morning so I slept in…
Relaxing and and enjoying the quietness of having 3 guests! G-Land can really be relaxing when all you can hear is the sound of the jungle. Not even waves..
G-Land was flat again and that’s all there is to say about that.

It was a slow, relaxing day today. Seems odd, but giving it a good thought, G-Land can be so far from a slow and relaxing experience. Maximum set size…trying to stay positive….was head-high. But it was a test of patience to wait for those rare ones. One more day of offshores, but the south element has been getting a little more dominant the past 2 days.
All the serfs surfed king Kongs. I buzzed down to the end of the rainbow, dug my hand into the Money pot, but got conned by the little green-draped man a handful of times. Decided to shift my approach to the backdoor for one last push of luck. Sneaked in over the ledge and snuck out through a hole in the wall and then took the slow low tide walk back home with that beautiful golden coin stashed deep in my back pocket.

G-Land Surf was very small upon waking up today. 1-2ft waves dribbling down the reef, had numerous G-Land Bobby’s Surf Camp guests ask me during breakfast time what they could do on such a small day.
