Today, middle of October, without a bang, comes my last G-Land Surf report for this year. I have spent the majority of 6 months here since May 1st, and what a great experience. Completely countless amounts of tubes, numerous mind-blowing ridiculously crazy barrels, perfect waves, overhead swells, super-fun days, heavy beatings, great food, peaceful sleeps, many new friends made… time well passed… good times!

As I was saying in yesterdays report, I boarded the G-Land Bobby’s Surf Camp fast boat G-Land Express without any sleep, although got some shut-eye on the smooth ride over, and on the boat was 4 friends from New Zealand. 2 Fathers and each with a 13 year old son. All excited to experience the magic of G-Land!

Rather than wake up earlyish and have my Scramble Eggs with Bacon, Avocado, Tomato on toast, with Porridge, fruit salad, coffee & juice (a standard breakfast in G-Land), I slept in till nearly lunch time due to being in Bali and partying till 3am last night! Had lunch with an old friend from school in New Zealand, caught up some a family I’m friends with from New Zealand for sunset drinks, of whom the Father and son will come back with me to G-Land in 5 days for their first G-Land Surf experience.

This morning was a little bit bigger at G-Land, some solid 4-5ft sets occassionally rolling through. The tradewind once again was blowing strong by 7 or 8am! Great waves all day, and many good barrel rides.

G-Land Bobby’s Surf Camp had a fairly big changeover today with 17 leaving and 33 arriving. In the surf department there wasn’t such a big change. Basically from first light all the way till dark the surf pumped!! Sets in the 4-6ft range, offshore wind all day long, and barrels galore!
