Jarred made it onto the fast-boat back to Bali this morning. Giving it some thought, he’s probably at the top of the list…a list of people and the number of days spent out here in any one season. GOOD FOR YOU JARRED!!! After 6 months at G-Land, I’d imagine he’ll have some mixed feelings about leaving, but he seemed ready this morning. Jalan Legian is there waiting for him. As for me, all I can say is thanks for the opportunity bro. I’m nowhere close to having mixed feelings about being here…even with the surf conditions being what they were on my first day.

Even though today’s surf at G-land backed off noticeably from the last few days of quality waves, everyone seemed to have smiles on their faces throughout the day. A few guests got 4-5ft. ( 1.5x overhead) early morning money trees with long walls and a few tubes…a glassy and unusually clean sunrise surf. The afternoon surf seemed to really focus on Money Trees with sets of the same size pushing through to it’s bottom. Definitely the quality section of the reef today in the G-land Surf. Only few guys were getting the hollow, bottomed-out waves through the end section…but the waves were there and so was their commitment!

G-Land was basically the same size as yesterday. Waves in the range of 2-4ft lined the reef all day. This morning I got to take the G-Land Express fast boat. What a great trip it is, only a couple of hours after boarding, we were cruising into Kuta reef. I highly recommend this boat to any people coming to G-Land Bobby’s Surf Camp. The extra $ spent is well worth it.

G-Land Bobby’s Surf Camp sent back to Bali a small crew of guests and the kiteboarders at 5am this morning, the wind didn’t come up till 8am, so likely they had a super smooth trip back on our fast boat 
Out in front of the camp there was still 4-6ft sets rolling through in the G-Land Surf.

I’m back!! After a 9 day ‘holiday’ in Bali, I’m all refreshed for another dosage of G-Land Surf. A smooth 2hr fast boat ride had me in the magical G-Land in no time, gotta love that boat! After a big ol’ breakfast I went to look at the waves with some of the new guests whom I was giving an Orientation tour, and BOOM! (more…)
